Abstract:

In this paper, geometries of architecture have been identified which convert maximum sound and oscillation energies to thermal energy without any kind of absorbers to minimize mount of noise in spaces through the geometry of space with absorbing the maximum sound energies. Research has been done with COMSOL5. 2 software and simulation method. The argument of this research has been done through the logical reasoning and with tes t developing in selective software and has been documented and resulted. In process of research, sound with 8000 HZ frequency that simulated a human speech, has been played in spaces with diverse form (changes in form of walls, ceilings) and same materials and has been calculated the mount of intensity, pressure and sound pressure level. Then mount of sound absorbing and converting to thermal energy has been simulated in spaces with applying the absorbing rate of air and results has been documented from temperature change dependence to geometry of spaces. It is so important that the walls, ceilings and floors were adiabatic and insulate completely from inside. In Simulation processes, air has been used as a material that is filled inside of simulated forms and there has been not any kind of other materials. By obtaining numerical results, the most suitable geometries are identified for producing heat through the sound oscillations and minimizing the noise. As a result, it was found that geometry of building make potential for Acous tic and thermal comfort from sound energy without any kind of absorbing materials inside of rooms. Heating changes simulated in two kind of geometries: pure volume and composite volume. Composite volumes have been choosing through the result of pure volume. Between pure volumes, Cylinder produced maximum temperature through the sound energies. Considering cylinder as a regular polygon with infinity corners and sides and making corners in composite volumes, heating changes oscillated due to corners between sides. Corners with angel about to 90 degree produce more heat compared with other corners. A plurality of corners with 90 degree and equal sides adjacent to angle in geometry of architectural spaces change the mount of temperature in increasing ways. Corners with obtuse angles cause higher temperature and corners with acute angles produce lower temperature. The highes t temperature happens in geometries with 90 degree angles. Number of corners with obtuse and acute angles did not follow the definitive rules to produce heating or cooling in this study. The Bes t position for making consecutive corners in plans with right corners is the upper third of the height of Architectural spaces that produce high temperature. In compact geometries, the heat generated due to sound energies and oscillations are more than geometries with s tretching in one direction. A Cube produces more heat than rectangle with same amount of height and volume. Composite of Cylinder and cube volumes in walls by maintaining the corners with 90 degree angles, lead to increasing the temperature. Filleted angles in walls of cubes and rectangles, with radius of ¼ of side of cube and more, make temperature increasing.

Abstract:

Purpose: To investigate demographic, clinical and histopathologic features of consecutive exotropia. Methods: Patients with consecutive exotropia who underwent surgery in Farabi hospital between September 2014 and April 2015 were enrolled in this study. After complete ophthalmologic examination and far and near deviation measurement, all patients with negative forced duction test underwent 4-mm medial rectus resection and advancement. Intraoperative absence of muscle fiber visualization according to surgeon’s opinion was documented and compared with histopathology results. The histopathologic results were compared between 30 cases of consecutive exotropia and 11 cases who underwent 4-mm resection of the medial rectus muscle with no previous surgery on the medial rectus muscle (controls). A dose-response relationship was calculated for medial rectus resection and advancement in consecutive exotropic patients. Results: Thirty eyes of 30 patients with consecutive exotropia were evaluated. Muscle fibers were not observed intraoperatively in 40% of eyes. No correlation was found between surgical success and the absence of muscle fiber visualization at insertion. Dose-response was approximately 4.4 prism diopter per millimeter of resection and advancement of the medial rectus muscle. Conclusion: Intraoperative absence of muscle fiber visualization was an important cause of consecutive exotropia that could be due to stretched scar and muscle slippage. This could be documented by histopathology using Masson trichrome staining. The dose-response relationship calculated in consecutive exotropic patients in the present study can help us better manage these patients. Medial rectus underaction may be a risk factor for absence of muscle fiber visualization at insertion. The outcome of surgery can be predicted based on the intraoperative visualization of muscle fiber at insertion.

Abstract:

Purpose: To determine the clinical characteristics and surgical outcomes of medial rectus (MR) advancement with or without lateral rectus (LR) recession in patients with consecutive exotropia. Methods: This interventional case series was performed on patients with consecutive exotropia of more than 15 prism diopters (PD) at least 6 months after the esotropia surgery. All patients were operated using either unilateral or bilateral MR muscle advancement with or without simultaneous LR recession. Ocular deviation at far and near distances, adduction limitation, and exoshift were investigated at the follow‑, ups of 1 week, as well as 1, 3, and 6 months after the surgery. Operation was considered successful when the postoperative far deviation was <10 PD. Results: Thirty patients were evaluated. The mean amount of MR advancement was 5. 69 ±,1. 33 mm with the mean dose response of 4. 7 ±,3. 3 and 4. 55 ±,4. 01 PD at 3 and 6‑, month follow‑, ups, respectively. Success rate was reduced from 93% at week 1 to 73% at month 6 due to postoperative exodrift, especially during the first 3 months. Preoperative exotropia was the only contributing factor in our study. Conclusions: MR advancement was an effective surgical method for consecutive exotropia correction, especially in cases with MR underaction. Bilateral MR advancement and/or LR recession are suggested in cases with higher preoperative exodeviation. The presence of postoperative exodrift indicates longer follow‑, ups for patients.

Abstract:

The vascular complications, their management and results of treatment in 417 consecutive renal transplantations performed at Taleghani Hospital from September 1989 to December 1997, are presented. There were 7 (1.6%) vascular complications. Among them renal artery stenosis occurred in 2 cases (0.4%), renal artery thrombosis in 2 cases (0.4%), renal vein thrombosis in one case (0.2%), bleeding from the venous suture line in the immediate perioperative period in one case and renal pelvic necrosis in another one. Arterial reconstruction was performed in 2 patients and allograft removal took place in 3 patients. There was no death due to vascular complication.

Abstract:

A rotated tire is affected by various forces and torques from the contact patch. On the other hand, the structure of the tire is very complex and tire is a complex combination. Each of these components can affect the forces and torques applied to the tire. These forces and torques also have a great effect on the handling of the car. In this paper, the apex height, the belt width, the belt angle and the capply type in a PCR tire are considered. The design of Experimental is based on Taguchi method which related to the apex height, the belt width, the belt angle and the capply type. Based on the design of experimental, 9 different tires have been made. The values of cornering stiffness obtained from the experimental and the effect of the mentioned factors on the cornering stiffness of the tire has been investigated.
